Needless to say that this practice is utterly evil and for us Christians strictly forbidden. God told us in Deuteronomy 18:10-12: “There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.”
To spread the cards today is gaining more and more in popularity. I hear more and more stories that people are being told that these cards can help you with your psychology problems, they aid you with information regarding a certain situation in which by laying them out on a certain way you obtain the solution to the problem or situation. This leads to utter dependency on these cards. I know of people who lay them every day because they feel the need and the urge to know what is awaiting them on a daily basis. Other people lay the cards just for fun or so they think, of course never realizing the serious implications of doing so.
Let me share an observation which I have made. In society today the occult is very popular and in some circles it is the 'thing' to do. What I have noticed is that people who do divination by whatever means, usually are very afflicted. I know of a person whose house has burned down three times in a row. Another person suffered many illnesses because of his involvement with the occult. Another person went completely blind and in her blindness saw demons and snakes and all kind of ugly monsters chasing her. This is serious friends. This should be an eye-opener for all of us. Do not let yourself get convinced that it is utterly harmless for it is not!
You need to know that to lay these cards will open the doors for demonic activity in your life. It is not unusual for people who start laying them end up hearing voices, becoming psychic and thus heavily demon possessed. Have you looked at the cards? I think they are horrific to even look at. They inspire me fear and they emanate sheer evil. They are part of Satan’s territory and therefore utterly harmful. Be not deceived dear friend, they are not harmless! The Egyptians were master magicians, they could counterfeit every miracle of God during Moses’ time. Remember the story of Moses and the exile out of Egypt? (read Exodus 6 etc)
The Egyptians were very much acquainted with fortune telling and thus with Tarot cards. They worshipped several demon gods,which in turn gave them the knowledge of magic. We can therefore say that knowledge that comes from Tarot comes from the demonic. Do not be fooled, those cards can tell you some truths, for demons are very good observers. They observe your every move and they know all about your past and about the past of your family. In this way they mislead innocent people into thinking that because they have been given accurate knowledge about their past, the knowledge regarding a future event or a situation will be accurate also. This is not true. How many of us who have been to a diviner have obtained absolute and correct knowledge about future events in our lives?
The only prophecy and knowledge that will always be correct is that which comes from God. You do not need some cards nor horoscope nor fortuneteller to tell you what lies ahead. God is perfectly capable to tell you things you need to know. I say need to know for you do not need to know all that will happen in your life. God discloses information that He wants you to know and withholds the information that He thinks will be harmful for you. Please be aware that to know everything that will happen in your life is not good, it will keep you from going there where you need to go. God will take you, He will lead you, taking you by the hand in His own gentle manner. There is really no need to know things beforehand. Trust in God, dare to believe that He has your best interest at heart and that He will give you the best.
I think that any form of divination keeps you from praying and asking God for things. Besides that, it will only deepen your dependency on the occult and keep you from leaning and knowing God. God steps back when you dab into the occult. You have a choice in your life, and when you choose to go into the territory of Satan God steps back for : “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”(Mt 6:24). You see, you have to make a choice. The choice, however, is yours, either you choose to serve God and wait for things to happen in your life when He pleases to give them to you, or you choose for Satan and his lies. The choice is yours, really. I know what choice is mine, I choose God and I am content that He will disclose that knowledge which He wants to give me at the time which He chooses, for His time is the right time. Always.
Now I ask you be sensible and do the same To lay the cards because it is fun is naive. Demons are attached to those cards, and whenever you lay them or have them spread for you, demons will stick to you and your home like gum. Furthermore the knowledge that Satan chooses to give you is not always accurate, for he is the father of lies (Jn 8:44).His trick is to give you some information to arouse your interest and subsequently hook you. Be wise and if you need to know something about your life, pray to God and wait for Him. He will give you the answer in due time.
